Pocket City Farms

As a founding board member, Karen was part of the team to establish Pocket City Farms.-a not-for-profit association working to bring urban farms to our city’s unused spaces. She served as a board member for several years where she provided an architectural and built environment skill set to various projects including the flagship venue at the Camperdown Commons in Sydney.

Local sustainable food production close to where the bulk of our population live, is integral in securing a healthy future for our communities and our planet.

This model of farming is multidimensional—whilst growing fresh, local, organic and healthy food is at the heart of the project, it also aims to make a significant impact through education and community building.
